We have recently patented two new processes for making pre-filled syringes on BFS. The syringe barrel is made within our SYFPAC® machine, during moulding, it is possible to introduce stainless steel needle aseptically at the bottom. There after, the syringe is filled, a piston can be introduced and as a final step, the end of the syringe is sealed in such a way that the piston gets covered and sealed hermetically. This makes the syringe tamper evident even without any additional packaging.
Our patented process can be executed exclusively only on SYFPAC® machine which employs philosophy of world-wide renowned Blow-Fill-Seal technology.
The core zone where filling, assembly of components and sealing occurs, is protected against contamination by a shower of sterile air. Additionally, machine has automatic internal CIP/SIP procedures to sterilize and clean the circuit where solution and process air can pass.
- Only two components: medical grade inert polymers and stainless steel needles are in contact with filled medicine/vaccine/liquid excipient
- Both sides of syringe (needle cover at the bottom and plunger cap on top) are formed during moulding process and seal the complete syringe hermetically. Apart from being tamper evident, the needle cover and cap protect syringe from contamination and from accidental pushing.
Above factors make SECUREJECT® - PREFILLED SYRINGES very useful tool for routine administration of drug through injection by nurses and doctors. Pre-filled excipient is handy in reconstitution of powdered or lyophilized injections, because after resolution it can be sucked back and injected with the same needle (without additional syringe). Being ready to use and needs just twisting off before administration, SECUREJECT® could be very useful for safe mass vaccination campaign. SECUREJECT® SYRINGES can be manufactured at much less cost than conventional pre-filled syringes.
The process can be used to fill VACCINES, conventional injectable drugs, antibiotics and sterile solutions to reconstitute powdered (or lyophilized injections).
